Zelenskyy vows retaliation after Russia levels Odesa city center in most powerful missile attack yet

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reacted to the horrific night attack on Odesa, promising an adequate response for Russia’s evil in a Telegram post on July 23.
"Missiles against peaceful cities, against residential buildings, a cathedral," he wrote.
“There can be no excuse for Russian evil. As always, this evil will lose. And there will definitely be a response to Russian terrorists for Odesa. They will feel this response.”
All those affected by this latest terrorist attack are being provided with assistance, he noted.
"I am grateful to everyone who is helping people, and to everyone who is with Odesa in their thoughts and emotions," he concluded.
“We will get through this. We will return peace. And for this we need to defeat the Russian evil.”
In the early hours of July 23, Russian troops conducted a large-scale missile attack on the historic center of Odesa. The enemy struck using five types of missiles. At least one person was killed and 22 were injured, with the city suffering significant damage.
Russia has been attacking Odesa throughout the week following its unilateral withdrawal from the Black Sea Grain Initiative. In a July 20 attack, four people were injured and 120 tons of grain were destroyed.
