‘We look after fundraised money’: One Ukrainian drone saves another with critical intel in odd video
A Ukrainian drone unit saved another Ukrainian reconnaissance drone after it was downed in no man’s land near Krynyky on the left bank of Kherson Oblast, as you can see in this unusual video posted by Magyar Birds unit commander, Robert Broudy, on YouTube on March 4.
The footage reveals how one drone flies to the downed drone lying on the ground, hooks it, and carries it back to the Ukrainian Armed Forces' positions.
"Operation 'Save Private Mavic',” commented Broudy.
“We take great care of all the assets purchased with fundraised money."
The mission's goal was not only to retrieve the lost UAV but also to prevent the enemy from capturing its memory card, which could provide valuable intelligence data, including tracking the operator's position.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
