Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and
his Turkish counterpart Recep
Tayyip Erdogan have signed an agreement to streamline the flow of goods
between Ukraine and Turkey, Zelenskyy’s press service announced on March 8.
According to the statement, the Turkish Trade Ministry will now exchange information with Ukraine’s State Customs Service, creating a system for electronic data exchange.
This data, received and processed by customs authorities, will help speed up the movement of goods and vehicles across both countries’ borders and prevent violations of the existing trade regime.
Zelenskyy arrived in Istanbul on March 8, where he met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. During the meeting, the leaders discussed strengthening bilateral cooperation and joint defense manufacturing projects.
