Russian missile strike on Kryvyi Rih injures one, damages houses and energy infrastructure

One civilian was injured in a Russian missile strike on the city of Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, early on Aug. 22, regional governor Serhiy Lysak and head of the city’s Defense Council, Oleksandr Vilkul, reported on Telegram.
The civilian suffered facial cuts as a result of the attack. He was provided with medical assistance and will undergo outpatient treatment.
More than 20 private households and a power line were damaged, which resulted in several streets and electric transport lines being partially left without power in Kryvyi Rih, Vilkul said.
Several hospitals had to switch to generators, but the electricity supply has already been restored there. The water supply system is also operating on generators and is currently being resumed.
The Russians also attacked the Synelnykove district of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast with a drone overnight, hitting a private enterprise. A fire broke out there, which has already been extinguished. There were no casualties as a result of the attack, the governor said.
Another attack on the district took place in the morning. The Russian attack damaged power lines and other civilian infrastructure, Lysak added.
Air raid alerts were triggered in several Ukrainian regions at night and early in the morning. In addition to Kryvyi Rih, Russia attacked the city of Zaporizhzhya, damaging four high-rise buildings.
There were no casualties in that attack either.
