Russia attacks Zaporizhzhya overnight, residential buildings damaged
Russian invading forces attacked the city of Zaporizhzhya in the southeast of Ukraine overnight on Aug. 22, Zaporizhzhya City Council secretary Anatoliy Kurtiev reported on his Telegram channel.
Fortunately, there were no casualties in the latest Russian attack on the city, the official said, however, four high-rise residential buildings were damaged.
Zaporizhzhya Oblast Military Administration subsequently reported that the Russians launched two missile strikes on the outskirts of the city of Zaporizhzhya, and sent UAVs into the surrounding region three times.
Air raid alerts were triggered in several Ukrainian regions overnight on Aug. 22.
In addition to Zaporizhzhya, Russia attacked the city of Kryvyi Rih in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. One civilian was injured, and more than 20 private households and energy infrastructure were damaged.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
