Russian Shahed drone hits residential building housing 22 families in Dnipro, no fatalities
A residential building housing 22 families was hit by a Russian suicide drone in Dnipro on the evening of Jan. 6, regional governor Serhiy Lysak reported on Telegram.
"Fortunately no one was injured,” he said.
“Emergency services rescued six people, including two children. Two people received medical assistance.”
The attack caused damage to the apartment building and vehicles of the residents, according to the Interior Ministry. Investigation teams, forensic experts and other specialized services are working at the scene.
A mobile point has been set up to receive citizens' appeals and help to document the consequences of the Russian aggression, the National Police reported.
The State Emergency Service has deployed a team of 45 rescuers and 11 firefighting units with special equipment to deal with the aftermath of the attack.
Eleven people, including five children, lost their lives, and eight others were injured in the “barbaric” Russian S-300 missile attack which destroyed three private houses in direct hits in and around the eastern Ukrainian city of Pokrovsk, Donetsk Oblast, in a separate incident on the same day, according to a preliminary report by the State Emergencies Service on Telegram.
