Russian shelling of Pokrovsk injures at least 6, 3 more possibly trapped under rubble
Russian forces injured at least six people in the shelling of Pokrovsk, Donetsk Oblast, and three more people may be trapped under the rubble of destroyed buildings, Donetsk regional governor, Vadym Filashkin, reported on Telegram on Jan. 6.
Filashkin also shared photos depicting the aftermath. Six houses in the city's residential area were demolished during the shelling, he said.
A fire broke out in the village of Rivne due to shelling as well, although there is no information available regarding casualties, Filashkin said.
The Russians earlier targeted Pokrovsk, striking an administrative building on Jan. 6. Filashkin said a garage and cars caught fire, and though casualties were reported, their exact number was not specified.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
