Ukrainian troops escape Russian encirclement in Prohres, Donetsk Oblast

Ukrainian soldiers from the 31st Mechanized Brigade successfully escaped encirclement by Russian forces north of the village of Prohres in Donetsk Oblast, the DeepState monitoring group reported on Telegram on July 25.
July 24 was an extremely dynamic and tense day north of Prohres, according to analysts.
"Several observation posts of the 1st and 3rd battalions were completely surrounded," the report stated.
"The brigade commander did not issue an order to break through, so the troops in the area took the initiative and fought their way out."
Thanks to the coordinated efforts of artillery, aerial reconnaissance, and supporting forces led by local officers, Ukrainian soldiers from the 1st and 3rd battalions managed to escape the encirclement "in full."
"It was a very nerve-wracking and difficult operation," the report noted.
"A delay of even a few hours could have resulted in a second encirclement. The potential for significant propaganda material for the Russian side was high. The most crucial outcome is that the soldiers are safe and continue to hold the line against the enemy."
The Khortytsia Operational Command West said on July 24 that Ukrainian soldiers are holding their positions in the Prohres-Lozuvatske sector, with Russian forces in the Prohres area under attack from Ukrainian troops.
"The brigade’s soldiers continue to bravely defend the front at Prohres, Lozuvatske, Ivanivka, and Vozdvizhenska," the statement said.
The DeepState monitoring group reported on July 21 that Russian forces captured the village of Prohres.
DeepState analysts earlier reported that Russian occupiers took the village of Rozdolivka in Donetsk Oblast.
