Ukraine strikes eight war targets in six Russian oblasts - Zelenskyy

The coordinated strikes damaged an oil refinery in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug and a commercial sea trade port in the Republic of Dagestan. Ukrainian munitions also hit infrastructure sites across Moscow, Voronezh, Astrakhan, and Bryansk oblasts.

"Russia continues its terror against Ukraine every day. And every day, it receives a just response," Zelenskyy said.

Earlier reports indicated that uncrewed aerial vehicles targeted the Russian Republic of Dagestan, with open-source monitoring channels highlighting strikes against the Port of Makhachkala. The harbor functions as Russia's only year-round, ice-free deep-water port on the Caspian Sea, facilitating continuous commercial and logistical cargo transfers.

Ukrainian defense manufacturer Fire Point stated that the Defense Forces engaged the Russian Caspian port using indigenous FP-1 strike drones. Russian forces utilize the port facility as a principal maritime transshipment hub for receiving shipments of Iranian-supplied Shahed attack drones into the Russian Federation.
