Ukraine strikes aircraft engine components plant in Russian-occupied Donetsk Oblast

Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck the Snizhne Machine-Building Plant in Russian-occupied Donetsk Oblast, a facility that produces components for gas-turbine engines, including aircraft engines, Ukraine’s General Staff said on Sept. 11.
The plant specializes in manufacturing components for gas-turbine engines, including compressor and turbine disks and blades, the military said.
Russian forces use the facility to manufacture military products, including components for aircraft engines.
The extent of the damage is still being assessed.
Ukraine’s General Staff also reported strikes on several other Russian military targets:
- Two Pantsir-S1 air-defense gun and missile systems in Taganrog, Rostov Oblast, Russia;
- A Russian radar station in Berezky, Bryansk Oblast, Russia;
- A storage, preparation and launch site for attack drones in Russian-occupied Donetsk;
- A drone operator training center belonging to the Akhmat unit in Russian-occupied Petropavlivka, Luhansk Oblast.
