Russian ballistic missile struck a train in Dnipro on June 24, with civilians onboard
Civilians were on board a train hit by a Russian attack in the city of Dnipro, announced Andriy Yermak, head of the Presidential Office, who published footage of the aftermath of the Russian ballistic strike on June 24.
A Russian ballistic missile strike on Dnipro damaged the Odesa-Zaporizhzhya train, which was carrying civilians, Ukrainian officials reported.
“The Russians are terrorists masquerading as a state, solely for the purpose of murder and enrichment in war,” said Andriy Yermak, the head of the Ukrainian President’s Office, commenting on the attack.
Earlier, Dnipro Mayor Borys Filatov reported that 14 schools and kindergartens were damaged by Russian shelling in the city.
“The city hospital and clinic were also damaged, and significant destruction occurred in the private sector. One person has died. It has also been confirmed that train No. 52, Odesa-Zaporizhzhya, was hit,” Filatov wrote on his Telegram channel.
Ukrainian railways (Ukrzaliznytsia) confirmed there were no casualties among passengers or railway workers due to the missile strike on train No. 52.
Injured passengers are receiving medical assistance.
