As for the ban on Trump's election participation, we should not rush to judgment.
The Colorado District Court has banned Trump from participating in the presidential election in that state. This decision can now be appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court. It is not clear what the decision will be there. Republicans predominate among the judges who will make the decision, but only some were appointed by Trump himself and can be seen as entirely loyal to him. G. W. Bush appointed others. How do these "old conservatives" feel about Trump? We'll see.
I emphasize that we are still talking about a ban on running in one particular state. This state, Colorado, votes for Democrats, so theoretically, not running for office there will mean nothing to Trump. Theoretically, however, it could be a precedent for similar decisions in other states. The Colorado court also did not just take its decision "from the ceiling" but relied on the November ruling in which Trump was found guilty of inciting the storming of the Capitol. In short, nothing is clear yet. We are more concerned about the issue of aid for Ukraine.
And here, too, things are not so simple because a new round of the issue of preventing Trump from running for office could well destroy the dialogue between Republicans and Democrats or simply freeze it.

However, certain facts make it difficult to ignore both the former and the latter. Support for military assistance to Ukraine has increased in the United States, as evidenced by a new FOX News poll. Thus, concerning Ukraine, 31% of respondents believe that the United States should do more to help in the war with Russia, while 30% say that the United States should do less. 35% believe that the current level of support is correct. The poll shows that since November, the number of those who think the U.S. should do more to help Ukraine has increased by 10 points. Democrats (+13) and Republicans (+7) are both more likely to believe that Ukraine needs more help.
Thus, it is a fact that the new trend is the growth of the idea of support for Ukraine, and it is pretty significant that this is stated by FOX News, the leading media outlet for Republican voters, whose owner recently visited Ukraine and had a very fruitful conversation with the Ukrainian president.
The trends are changing after a series of visits by Ukrainian delegations to the United States, particularly by President Zelensky personally. This is also reflected in the Western media, especially US media. There are more and more publications on why we should help Ukraine. The arguments in these publications are clear to the American voter. That is why even politicians who traditionally take an unfriendly stance toward Ukraine in the United States are not making anti-Ukrainian statements now, limiting themselves to demands to "resolve the border issue along with aid for Ukraine."
In short, this whole situation has many political dimensions. It is all very complicated and confusing because, in parallel with our war, the United States is going through an election campaign that promises to be difficult and a very serious crisis for political institutions. It's been a long time since they have had speakers resign, a long time since there have been attempts to restrict someone's right to run for president on the grounds of participation in a rebellion against the government, and so on.
So, there is no need to react too emotionally to all this because there will be a lot of emotional swings there.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
