Zelenskyy's Office may dismiss Klitschko as Kyiv City Administration head, no final decision made

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy may soon remove Vitali Klitschko from the position of Kyiv City State Administration head, yet he will remain the mayor, the Ukrainska Pravda online media outlet said on June 15.
After an incident with a Kyiv-based shelter when people were killed because of the locked shelter, the President’s Office was considering Minister for Strategic Industries Oleksandr Kamyshin as a possible replacement as Kyiv City State Administration head, sources told the media outlet.
"Kamyshin is getting ready for this move – he has been visiting (Oleksii) Kuleba's office for several weeks (Kuleba is responsible for regional policy at the President’s Office)," said a high-ranking source at the President’s Office.
When asked about possible dismissal of Klitschko as City State Administration head, sources in the Kyiv mayor’s team answered: “We have not been informed yet.”
At the same time, members from Zelenskyy's team explain that the final decision on the reshuffle has not yet been made.
Ukrainska Pravda journalists tried to reach Oleksii Kuleba, the deputy head at the President’s Office in charge of regional policy, but he did not respond to messages, though they were marked as read.
According to the media outlet ZN.ua, the President's Office is also mulling over the removal of the incumbent head of Kyiv City Military Administration, Serhiy Popko. The ex-head of Luhansk Oblast’s Military Administration, Serhiy Hayday, is said to be tapped to replace Popko.
