Zelenskyy and SA’s Ramaphosa discuss peace formula summit
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held
discussions with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, where the two leaders
focused on preparations for a summit to implement Zelesnkyy’s “peace formula”
to resolve the war in Ukraine, Zelenskyy said on July 13.
Zelensky expressed gratitude to Ramaphosa for his visits to Bucha and Kyiv, and commended South Africa's efforts in facilitating the return of children who were illegally deported to Russia.
“We highly appreciate the outcomes of the advisor meetings in Copenhagen,” said Zelenskyy.
“We have discussed preparations for the Global Peace Summit and the diplomatic steps necessary to consolidate the support of African nations for Ukraine.”
Additionally, Zelenskyy extended an invitation to South Africa to participate in the 'Grain From Ukraine' initiative, a project aimed at facilitating exports of Ukrainian grain to bolster global food security.
