21-year-old volunteer soldier from Finland killed near Bakhmut

The Finnish volunteer codenamed “Samson” died fighting Russian invaders near Bakhmut, a volunteer who helps Finnish fighters, Raakel Tasanen, told IS (Ilta Sanomat).
The 21-year-old fighter arrived in Ukraine in December. He came from Eastern Finland and was killed in combat in December.
The young man was mortally wounded as a result of a drone strike in the Bakhmut area, Tasanen said.
The man served in the International Legion’s Bravo company, which includes several Finnish volunteers. A Brazilian comrade was also killed in the attack.
"Samson was a small, positive, and humorous guy who, from the very beginning of the war, thought about going to Ukraine," said Tasanen.
Three Finnish soldiers are known to have been killed in combat during Russia’s war on Ukraine.
