Washington prepares $2.6 billion military aid package for Ukraine, Reuters reports
The United States plans to announce a new package of security assistance to Ukraine on April 3, which will include $2.6 billion worth of anti-tank missiles, air surveillance radars, and fuel trucks, Reuters reported on March 31, citing three unnamed U.S. officials.
According to the sources, the package will include six different types of munitions, including tank rounds, guided aircraft munitions, repair and recovery vehicles, as well as additional ammunition for HIMARS rocket artillery systems. The sources added that the contents of the aid package are still subject to change.
On March 28, Politico reported that former U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will arrive in Ukraine on April 3.
On March 20, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced a $350 million military aid package to Ukraine. It included more HIMARS ammunition, howitzers and Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, HARM high-velocity anti-radar missiles, anti-tank weapons, and river boats.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
