Former Ukrainian soldier beaten by MP Tyshchenko's orders, says SBI
A group of people, acting on orders from controversial MP Tyshchenko, beat up a former Ukrainian Armed Forces serviceman, according to the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) on June 25. The victim was held and inflicted with bodily harm.
In Dnipro, on June 20, individuals in military uniforms and balaclavas attacked Dmytro "Son" Pavlov, a former member of the Kraken special unit.
Footage shows the uniformed men approaching Pavlov on Cologne Boulevard while he was walking with a baby in a stroller, surrounding him, and pushing him to the ground. One attacker also searched Pavlov's bag.
Telegram channels claimed that Pavlov had an argument with MP Mykola Tyshchenko and his security team.
On June 21, Tyshchenko commented on the incident, calling it a provocation. He claimed Pavlov was no longer a military man and that he had no bodyguards at the time.
Tyshchenko also alleged that Pavlov was involved in a conflict with police during "searches of fraudulent bot farms."
"He is the head of security for a bot farm with 120 call centers across Ukraine," Tyshchenko said. "He and his guys approached the place where the investigation was taking place and provoked the police officer."
The head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak, condemned Tyshchenko's behavior in Dnipro, calling the assault on the former Ukrainian Armed Forces officer shameful.
