Ukraine’s General Staff reports fifty-three combat engagements, multiple air strikes over past 24 hours
Russian invaders tried to regain lost ground near Klishchiivka and Andriivka in the Bakhmut sector of the front where the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled five enemy attacks, according to the General Staff’s latest update on Nov. 6.
Fifty-three combat engagements were reported since yesterday. Six missile attacks were recorded, as well as 70 airstrikes and 76 shelling attacks on Ukrainian military positions and civilian areas.
- Kupyansk sector – The Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 10 enemy attacks near Synkivka, Petropavlivka, and Ivanivka in Kharkiv Oblast.
- Lyman sector – No Russian offensive actions were recorded.
- Avdiivka sector – The Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to maintain a strong defense, inflicting significant losses on the enemy, attempting to surround Avdiivka with the support of aviation. About 10 attacks were repulsed near Stepove, Avdiivka, Severne, and Pervomaiske in Donetsk Oblast.
- Mariupol sector – The enemy launched more than 20 unsuccessful attacks in the areas of Maryinka and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk Oblast.
- Shakhtarsk and Zaporizhzhya sectors – The invaders conducted unsuccessful attacks northwest of Verbove, Robotyne, and north of Nesteryanka and Pyatyhatky in Zaporizhzhya Oblast.
- Melitopol sector – The Ukrainian Armed Forces continued their offensive operation.
- Kherson sector – Counter-battery warfare and five artillery strikes on the enemy's rear positions were reported.
The enemy also carried out five unsuccessful attacks near Bohdanivka, Khromove, and Pivdenne in Donetsk Oblast, while the Ukrainian military continued its offensive south of Bakhmut.
