1060 more Russian soldiers were killed or injured in Ukraine over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff reported on Facebook on July 31.
It brings the total number of Russian losses to approximately 578,120 since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces has also destroyed a significant amount of Russian military equipment, including:
- Tanks: 8,390 (+9)
- Armored combat vehicles: 16,161 (+20)
- Artillery systems: 16,086 (+30)
- Multiple Launch Rocket Systems (MLRS): 1,131 (+1)
- Air defense systems: 907 (+1)
- Aircraft: 363 (+0)
- Helicopters: 326 (+0)
- Operational-tactical UAVs: 12,853 (+21)
- Cruise missiles: 2,407 (+1)
- Ships/boats: 28 (+0)
- Submarines: 1 (+0)
- Vehicles and fuel tanks: 21,739 (+52)
- Special equipment: 2,697 (+1).
350,000 Russian soldiers had been killed or wounded in the war against Ukraine, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz reported on July 24.
“For the sake of seizing additional square meters of Ukrainian territory, Vladimir Putin not only kills many Ukrainians, but also sends hundreds of thousands of Russian soldiers to their deaths,” Scholz said.
Between 462,000 and 728,000 Russian military personnel have been killed or wounded in the war against Ukraine, according to classified Pentagon documents, The Economist reported on July 7.
Russia’s daily average losses in May and June rose to record levels of 1,262 and 1,163 soldiers, respectively. Russia has lost approximately 70,000 soldiers in Ukraine over the last two months, the UK Intelligence reported on July 12.
Ukraine's losses amounted to one its defender killed for every six Russians as of June, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported.
