Ukraine's air defense to be reinforced, Zelenskyy says
Ukraine’s air defenses will be significantly strengthened, President of Ukraine Volodomyr Zelenskyy announced on July 26.
"Daily selector meeting. I heard the current reports on the supply of weapons and ammunition. There are reinforcements for our air defense systems (coming). It will be directed to where it is needed most right now," Zelenskyy said.
Zelenskyy said that the Ukrainian military’s Main Intelligence Directorate, and the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, reported on the enemy actions and future plans, while the Security Service of Ukraine reported on its work to detain enemy agents.
"The Commander-in-Chief (of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Valerii) Zaluzhnyi briefed me about the offensive actions and defensive campaign along the entire frontline. We trust our guys," Zelenskyy added.
On July 23, Russia launched the largest air strike on Odesa's city center since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
The enemy launched five types of missiles. Air defenses managed to intercept nine out of 19 aerial targets. At least one person was killed in the attack, while another 22 were wounded.
That attack destroyed the Transfiguration Cathedral in the center of Odesa. A total of 29 landmarks were damaged across the city.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
