Ukraine launches military jobs website
A new website, Lobby X, opens a new way for Ukrainians to join the Armed Forces: citizens can submit their CVs and specify which unit they’d like to ultimately join.
Its interface allows the user to independently choose a unit and position for service. All a user needs to do is submit their CV.
Lobby X's military recruiting engine works for both civilians who want to get mobilized and serving military personnel who want to find a position that is more relevant to their professional experience and skills.
As the user can independently choose their place and type of service, the Lobby X military recruiting system solves several issues that arise during general mobilization, in particular:
— failure to take into account the candidate's strengths and weaknesses when assigning them a role in the military;
— "lottery" drafts at military commissariat offices.
Vacancies presented on the portal range from conventional military and medical positions, to creative and IT roles.
After all, modern military units need videographers, PR specialists, business analysts, UI/UX designers, HR managers, IT developers, civil and military transport drivers, sappers, scouts, snipers, doctors, and other specialists.
The platform acts as an intermediary between a person who wants to join the army for a specific position and a given unit of the Armed Forces.
Lobby X posts vacancies on its resources, makes an initial selection of candidates according to the requirements set by employers, and then sends information about candidates to their prospective units.
As of now, Lobby X works with 86 units. These include the Ministry of Defense, the Cyber Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the KRAKEN and K-2 special units, the 3rd OSHBr, the 47th OMBr "Magura", the "Da Vinci" battalion, the 67th OMBr, the 93rd OMBr, the "Offensive Guard" brigades, and other units of the defense forces.
So far, more than 1,500 people joined the army with the help of Lobby X. In total, more than 21,000 applications were received. Candidates were selected on a competitive basis.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
