UA repels 71 of 75 attack drones – mostly over Kyiv – in Russia’s largest drone attack of the war

Ukraine was attacked overnight by a record number of 75 Russian Shahed-131/136 drones, with 71 intercepted by Air Defense Forces. More than 60 attacked Kyiv and its approach, the Ukrainian Air Force reported on Telegram on Nov. 25.
The Ukrainian capital was the main target of the most massive kamikaze drone attack since the full-scale invasion, Russia launched from two directions — Russia’s Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Kursk Oblasts.
Air defense systems, tactical aviation, mobile fire groups, and electronic warfare units were engagedin at least six regions of the country, including Kyiv, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhya, Mykolaiv, and Kirovohrad Oblasts.
A Kh-59 cruise missile was also successfully shot down over Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
Several buildings were damaged by falling drone wreckage in Kyiv — a multi-story residential building in the Dniprovskyi district, a four-story building in the Holosiivskyi district, and anotherone in the Solomyanskyi district, where a fallen slab of concrete trapped two women inside, Kyivmayor Vitaliy Klychko reported.
Emergency services are on the scene.
