Zaluzhnyi meets with NATO SACEUR Cavoli to discuss Ukraine's defense capabilities
Ukraine’s top general, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, has met with NATO General Christopher G. Cavoli – the current Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR), Zaluzhnyi reported on Telegram on April 30.
The meeting included an update on the current situation along the entire frontline in Ukraine, Zaluzhnyi said.
"(I) outlined possible scenarios, threats and prerequisites for our future actions,” the general said.
“We set ourselves the goal of preparing in such a way as to perform the specified tasks as much as possible.”
The two generals also addressed Ukraine's need for a wide range of weapons and anti-aircraft defense systems, which will significantly enhance Ukraine’s resistance against Russian aggression.
"(We) also discussed with General Cavoli the training of our defenders,” he added.
“We agreed to continue to maintain dialogue and work to strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities," he added.
Zaluzhnyi also visited Lviv and met with the city's mayor, Andriy Sadovyi.
"After this meeting, we have a lot to keep as memories, but we have nothing to disclose,” Sadovyi said on Telegram following the meeting.
“Yet: Valerii Fedorovych (Zaluzhnyi) – thank you for the visit.”
