Bus driver taking children to competition was mobilized in the middle of the night in Uzhhorod

A bus driver taking a team of children from Vinnytsia to a taekwondo competition in Uzhhorod was taken from his hostel room in the middle of the night and delivered to the military commissariat by employees of the local Territorial Recruitment Center (TRC), Ukrainian journalist Vitaliy Pavlovsky revealed on Facebook on Nov. 12.
The TCC employees and police officers refused to accept the driver’s argument that he was the only driver for the young group of athletes. His phone was taken away, so he had no way of contacting his family and the team manager. After passing the military medical commission, he and other men staying at the hostel were given military identification cards and sent to the training center in Chernihiv.
"Are human relations between people over? Do our children have to walk from the training ground to a hotel in another city? And what about meals? What kind of attitude is this towards children, towards Ukrainians?" Pavlovsky asks in his post.
The Vinnytsia regional state administration’s head Serhiy Borzov promised to take control of the situation and safely solve the problem of the children's transportation.
The bus company provided another driver to take the children back home, but he didn’t dare to collect the bus keys, which were still kept at the TCC center. A girl from Mariupol, who moved to Uzhhorod after the full-scale invasion, went to collect the keys instead.
On November 10, a video was posted showing alleged employees of the Lviv’s TCC forcibly dragging a man into a minibus. An investigation was launched.
