Kharkiv endures ongoing Russian attacks; Three civilians injured, says regional governor
Four civilians, including three women and one man, sustained
injuries in a barrage of Russian attacks targeting Kharkiv’s administrative hub
on April 7, regional governor Oleh Synehubov reported on Telegram.
The incident was preceded by a warning from the Ukrainian Air Force about
possible precision-guided bomb strikes.
A 45-year-old man suffered shrapnel wounds but declined
hospitalization. Two women, aged 37 and 72, were treated at the scene for acute
stress reactions.
One of Ukrenergo’s high-voltage network facilities sustained
damage in the attacks, leading to an increase
in rolling blackouts in Kharkiv and the oblast. Repairs are underway, but
the risk of repeated strikes has made it impossible to provide estimates for
restoration.
Synehubov also noted that Kharkiv’s central park and the
industrial zone were targeted, resulting in one damaged building and a garage
fire.
This series of enemy strikes followed an earlier morning
report by local officials of two
waves of kamikaze drone attacks on Kharkiv overnight, resulting in the
injury of three elderly civilians and damage to ten private homes, a
kindergarten, three five-story buildings, and three cars.
