U.S. State Department and German Marshall Fund launch Ukraine Cities Partnership to rebuild Ukraine

The U.S. State Department and the German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF) will collaborate to help rebuild Ukrainian cities, the U.S. State Department announced.
The two organizations “announced the creation of the Ukraine Cities Partnership (UCP) for Sustainable Urban Recovery,” the announcement said.
The three year project will create “a new public-private partnership to help Ukrainians redesign and rebuild sustainable, inclusive, and resilient cities,” beginning from March 6.
The groups will collaborate to bring key stakeholders, technical experts, and funding partners to the UCP effort, capitalizing on businesses and the private sector, universities, non-governmental organizations, and foundations.
The UCP will be formally launched at June’s Ukraine Recovery Conference in Berlin.
