Several countries promised more Patriots to Ukraine, Polish PM says

Several European prime ministers have
promised to provide Ukraine with additional Patriot
air defense systems, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said on June 1,
as reported by Polish news outlet Belsat.
According to the report, they also discussed training Ukrainian pilots on F-16 fighter jets with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"We have scheduled these training sessions; Poland will help Ukraine train pilots on F-16 fighter jets," Morawiecki said in Chisinau, Moldova.
During the discussion of the supply of Patriot systems to Ukraine, he emphasized "how important it is for other countries that have these systems to share them with Ukraine as soon as possible."
"I can say that this meeting was very constructive and positive; I don't want to speak on behalf of several prime ministers, but several prime ministers who have Patriot systems have promised quick delivery of these systems," Morawiecki added.
On May 29, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov stated that Ukraine needed to strengthen its air defenses by next winter, when Moscow is expected to engage in another air strike campaign to knock out the country’s power grid.
