SBU, Ukrainian Navy involved in nighttime explosion of Crimean Bridge, source tells NV

The Ukrainian SBU Security Service and the Ukrainian Navy reportedly played a role in the nighttime explosion of the Crimean Bridge, according to an anonymous law enforcement source.
The source revealed that the attack on the bridge utilized surface drones.
“Despite the difficulties in reaching the bridge, we eventually managed to do it,” the source stated.

On the morning of July 17, Sergey Aksyonov, the Kremlin-appointed “head” of Russia-occupied Crimea, declared an “extraordinary event” near the 145th pylon of the Crimean Bridge.
Russian media outlets have reported explosions and potential damage to the bridge’s supports and one of its spans. The Russian Ministry of Transport later claimed that the roadway had been affected.
Automobile and railway traffic has been suspended, resulting in significant congestion. Occupying forces are encouraging Russians to travel through temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
According to reports from local and state media and public outlets, at least two Russians lost their lives in the incident, with one individual reportedly being from Belgorod Oblast, Russia.
In response to the incident, Ukrainian intelligence representative Andriy Yusov quoted the head of Ukrainian military intelligence, Kyrylo Budanov, who stated, “the Crimean Bridge is an unnecessary structure.”
