Russians drain manpower from Mariupol as troops shifted to frontlines, says city mayor’s adviser
Russia is moving trucks with military personnel out of the temporarily occupied city of Mariupol, Petro Andriushchenko, an adviser to the mayor of Mariupol, announced on Telegram on Oct. 31.
"A large convoy of eight trucks with manpower is moving through Stan3000 (Sheet Rolling Mill 3000 of Illich Iron and Steel Works of Mariupol - ed.) towards the city center and further towards Nikolske," he said.
"It is an interesting and unusual trend to pull reserves from Mariupol."
The route of the Russians’ movement indicates that the personnel were stationed on the grounds of Illich Iron and Steel Works. From there, they were transferred in the direction of Polohy or Vuhledar through Maloyanisol.
