Ukraine calls for emergency UN session after Russian mass missile attack — Zelenskyy

Ukraine is initiating an emergency session of the UN Security Council following Russia's deadly massive missile attack, Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky announced at a briefing in Warsaw on July 8.
"Everything these terrorists have destroyed, we will rebuild, and we will certainly respond to these inhumane acts," said Zelenskyy.
Zelenskyy highlighted Russia's cynicism, which is attempting to spread falsehoods that the victims were a result of "Ukrainian air defense operations." He expressed gratitude to those who shared videos confirming that Russia deliberately targeted the Okhmatdyt Children's Hospital in Kyiv, where children were receiving dialysis.
Russian dictator Vladimir Putin can only be forced into peace, Zelenskyy said.
Over 50 civilian objects have been damaged, including residential buildings, a business center, and two medical facilities. In Kyiv, the number of injured has risen to 96, with 52 hospitalized, said Mayor Vitali Klitschko. At least 21 people are dead.
Zelenskyy said that more than 40 missiles of various types had been fired by Russia in the massive morning attack on the Ukrainian cities of Kyiv, Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, Sloviansk, and Kramatorsk on July 8.
"And the whole world must use all its determination to finally put an end to the Russian strikes,” he said.
“Killing is what Putin is all about. Only together can we bring real peace and security."
The Russian strike killed at least 10 civilians and injured 31 in the city of Kryvyi Rih.
Another three people were killed in the missile attack that targeted an enterprise in the city of Pokrovsk in Ukraine's frontline Donetsk Oblast.
The Russian attack also targeted the city of Dnipro, where at least one person was killed and 12 others injured.
