Russian General's alarming comments suggest Kazakhstan could be next target - AUDIO
Controversial Russian State Duma deputy and General Andrei Gurulov sparked controversy by suggesting that Kazakhstan will be the next target of Russian aggression in an audio recording shared with his colleagues from the parliamentary defense committee and leaked on social media.
Gurulov's comments, which include derogatory language reflecting his disdain for Kazakhstan's current position, have raised alarms over the potential for escalated Russian military actions.
Gurulov claimed that the decision to take military action against Kazakhstan had already been made.
"The Kazakhs, having seen Ukraine, are very afraid that they are next," Gurulev said. "They are just sh*tting bricks, damn it.”
“But they will be next. They are f*cking around now. In principle, I think the decision has already been made."
While he dismisses the scandal as an enemy disinformation generated by “neural networks,” his previous hints about Kazakhstan's involvement in a drone attack on Tatarstan's special economic zone near Yelabuga, which houses the Shahed kamikaze drone assembly plant, undermine his rather inconsistent and unconvincing rebuttals.
Gurulov is also known for alcohol abuse and has a history of making provocative statements on Russian propaganda channels, much like Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
