Ukrainian air defenses intercept 30 Russian drones over Kyiv

A Russian drone attack in Kyiv Oblast injured one person and damaged 22 houses and outbuildings, Kyiv Oblast Governor Ruslan Kravchenko reported on Telegram on Aug. 7.
The Ukrainian police reported that a 78-year-old woman was injured, sustaining a shrapnel wound to her leg.
According to the governor, two communities were affected, with some homes suffering smashed windows and doors, as well as facades and roofs damaged by falling debris.
An air raid alert sounded for more than eight hours, and all targets were shot down. The administration added that this was the third consecutive night of attacks on the oblast.
On Aug. 7, air raid alerts were declared in many regions of Ukraine due to the threat of drones and ballistic weapons. The Ukrainian Air Force reported that Russian drones reached Ternopil Oblast, with air defenses operating in Kyiv Oblast. The Khmelnytsky Regional Air Defense Agency reported that drone debris damaged an enterprise.
According to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russia attacked Ukraine with 30 drones, all of which were shot down.
