Drone attack hits chemical plant in Russia’s Tver Oblast — Russian media
Four drones attacked Redkino Experimental Plant in Tver Oblast, which produces chemical products, in particular, aviation fuel, Russian Astra Telegram channel reported on June 27.
The pipeline, roof, and one of the workshops were damaged in the attack.
The Russians claim no casualties, as all employees were allegedly evacuated during the attack.
Drones attacked the plant at around 2:00 a.m. MSK, according to Russian Telegram channel Baza. One of the drones allegedly hit the roof of workshop No. 4, after which it exploded.
The second drone was shot down by air defense forces, after which its debris fell not far from the workshop, causing an explosion there a few minutes later.
The third drone attacked flammable liquids enterprise, the pipeline was damaged and a fire erupted there.
The fourth drone attacked the plant’s territory two hours later, workshop No. 4 was targeted again.
Air defense allegedly managed to shoot down all four UAVs that attacked Tver Oblast, Russia’s Defense Ministry announced at the same time.
Redkino Experimental Plant is one of the largest chemical factories in Tver Oblast, producing more than 40 types of multi-purpose products, in particular, aviation fuel, Astra said.
