Berdyansk rocked by strong explosion overnight
A strong explosion rocked occupied Berdyansk in the early hours of June 22, said Petro Andriushchenko, advisor to the mayor of Mariupol.
The blast occurred around 1:40 am near the city of Berdyansk in south-eastern Ukraine. It was so powerful that it could be heard in the village of Urzuf, located 50 km away from the impact site, in Mariupol District, Andriushchenko explains.
According to local reports, a Russian barracks at the Troyanda resort facility in the village of Azovske was targeted. A fire broke out at the scene.
On June 19, Andriushchenko mentioned that Russian invaders were transporting ammunition in boxes with "unintelligible markings" from Mariupol to Berdyansk.
He specifically noted that the ammunition was being transported in non-standard (green) boxes.
