Frightened Russians step up checks in Feodosia after Ukraine’s destruction of Novocherkassk ship
Worried about a repeat of the powerful strike on the port in Feodosia, Russia has surrounded the city center and intensified checks on residents in the occupied Crimean city, the Center for National Resistance reported.
"After the destruction of the large Novocherkassk landing ship, the enemy has surrounded the central district of Feodosia and increased checks on locals in the streets," the statement said.
Russians are actively searching for individuals they consider informants monitoring events in the port. The occupation forces are attempting to prevent information leakage regarding the extent of damage to port infrastructure.
Powerful explosions in the port area overnight on Dec. 26.
A Ukrainian missile destroyed the Russian navy vessel, confirmed Ukrainian Air Force commander Mykola Oleshchuk, who thanked Ukrainian pilots.
The Ukrainian Air Force later said the attack was carried out with cruise missiles.
