Russia attacked Ukraine with cruise missiles and UAVs overnight on April 28. NV has collected photos and videos of the aftermath.
Reaction
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reacted on Facebook.
“Last night the enemy attacked Ukraine again with missiles and UABs. Terrorists targeted civilians and objects … Unfortunately, there are casualties, including a child (in Uman, updated to two children — ed.). In Dnipro, terrorists’ shelling claimed the life of a child. My consolences to everyone who lost their loved ones because of the Russian terror!” he wrote.
“Every attack, every evil act against our country and people brings the terrorist state closer to failure and punishment … We will not forget any crime; we will not let any invader avoid responsibility.”
Ukraine’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Dmytro Kuleba, reacted on Twitter.
“Missile strikes killing innocent Ukrainians in their sleep, including a 2-years-old child, is Russia’s response to all peace initiatives. The way to peace is to kick Russia out of Ukraine. The way to peace is to arm Ukraine with F-16s and protect children from Russian terror.”
Uman, Cherkasy Oblast
At least 14 Ukrainians have been killed in Uman after a residential high-rise building was hit by a cruise missile. At least nine more civilians have been hospitalized in the attack.
Dnipro, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast
A two-year-old girl and her 31-year-old mother were killed in a Russian cruise missile attack on the city of Dnipro.
Ukrainka, Kyiv Oblast
In the city of Ukrainka, a missile fragment hit an apartment on the fifth floor of a 10-story building, hospitalizing a 13-year-old girl.
