Russian militant from neo-Nazi Rusych group, detained in Finland, ‘asks for extradition to Russia’

A Russian militant from the neo-Nazi Rusych group, Jan Petrovsky, who was detained in Finland, has requested that he be extradited to the Russian Federation, the Russian embassy in Finland has said in a statement.
Russian consuls and a lawyer visited Petrovsky in a Finnish prison, the embassy said.
The statement from the embassy reads that the militant “expressed his desire to return to Russia as soon as possible.” He allegedly has no complaints about the circumstances of his detention.
Finnish police detained the militant Petrovsky at Helsinki-Vantaa airport on July 20 on suspicion of immigration violations when he and his family were traveling to France to visit relatives.
Ukraine’s Prosecutor General's Office reported on Aug. 25 that a Russian citizen suspected of being a member of a terrorist organization had been detained in Finland. Preparations for Petrovsky’s extradition to Ukraine are currently underway.
Ukrainian investigators say that in 2014, the suspect, together with members of the LPR terrorist organization (Luhansk People’s Republic, a sham republic set up by the Kremlin after Russian invaded part of Ukraine’s Donbas region in 2014), took part in military clashes on the territory of Ukraine as part of the Rusych sabotage-assault intelligence group.
Petrovsky went to live in Finland under an assumed name and because his wife is studying there. He received a permit for one year of residence in Finland under the name of Vojislav Torden.
