Russia is reinforcing its control over the Sea
of Azov by establishing an Azov naval district within the Black Sea fleet,
headquartered in the occupied Mariupol, according to a Telegram message from
Military Media Center, affiliated with Ukraine’s Defense Ministry.
The report stated that the new district will include ships from both the Black Sea fleet and the Caspian flotilla of the Russian Navy.
Currently, Russia's primary focus in the Azov and Black Sea operational areas is on enhancing anti-sabotage defense systems at its naval bases and safeguarding the ships of the Russian Navy from Ukrainian attacks.
Earlier on June 30, Ukraine’s Operational Command South reported Moscow increasing its naval presence in the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov. The center also warned that the Russian navy may be preparing to launch another missile attack on targets across Ukraine using Kalibr sea-launched cruise missiles.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
