Russians begin military evacuation from Dzhankoi, restore airfields deep in Crimea – Atesh

The Russians have begun evacuating their military from the occupied Crimean city of Dzhankoi and are actively restoring and possibly modernizing airfields deep in the peninsula, the pro-Ukrainian resistance movement Atesh reported on May 24, citing agents within the enemy forces.
Among the airfields focused for restoration are Kirovske near Feodosia and Bagerovo near Kerch. However, the Russians may face obstacles in building enclosed shelters for their aircraft due to technological complexities, high construction costs, and significant time requirements.
Atesh suggests that these actions indicate a desire to disperse Russian troops and equipment in Crimea in the face of possible further successful attacks by Ukrainian forces in the future.
Earlier, on May 13, Russian Telegram channel Astra reported that an air defense base on Mount Ai-Petri in Crimea was damaged during a Ukrainian missile attack, resulting in the deaths of the unit commander and a soldier.
