Downed Russian drone damaged railway traction network near Kropyvnytskyi
The railway traction power network near Kropyvnytskyi was damaged by an intercepted Russian kamikaze drone during the overnight attack on Kirovohrad Oblast, regional state administration head, Andriy Raykovych, reported on Telegram on Nov. 1.
It was the region’s longest air raid alert since the full-scale Russian invasion, lasting from 19:26 to 01:53.
The section damaged by the falling fragments of the downed drone has already been repaired. No casualties or damage to other civilian infrastructure have been reported.
Eighteen out of 20 Russian kamikaze drones and one Kh-59 cruise missile were intercepted by the Ukrainian Air Force early Nov. 1. The attack was primarily focused on Poltava Oblast, where the Kremenchuk oil refinery was hit. Explosions were also heard in Kirovohrad, Khmelnytskyi, and Cherkasy Oblasts of Ukraine.
