Police publish harrowing video of first minutes after Russian missile attack on Sumy

The patrol police of the Sumy Oblast have published a harrowing video recording the first minutes after a Russian missile strike on a vocational school, showing officers rushing to the building to evacuate students and search for people trapped under rubble.
"Patrol police officers arrived at the scene within minutes. Later, additional crews of law enforcement officers joined them. One group of patrolmen immediately ran to provide first aid to the victims of the explosion," the message from the police reads.
The video showing this first group of patrolmen opens with jerky footage from an officer’s body cam as he runs towards the missile impact site.
“Guys, run to save people,” he shouts to his fellows. The video cuts to a shot of officers examining the ruins of the educational institution. “In the building to the right: Are there any wounded?” a voice off camera is heard shouting. “No, there’s nobody there,” comes a reply.
The next shot shows officers helping student clamber over rubble – one appears not to be wearing shoes, while another seems to be covered in dust. The final shots show footage from an officer’s body cam as he evacuates students from their dormitory.
Following the missile strike, which occurred at about 8.00 p.m. on July 29, police inspected all damaged premises and evacuated citizens from them. At this time, another group of police officers restricted traffic, cordoned off the scene and provided information to citizens about the air raid.
On July 30, it was reported by Sumy City Council that two people had been killed and 20 were injured as a result of a Russian missile hitting the educational institution building.
Of the wounded, three were in hospital being treated for moderate injuries, the local authorities said.
