Parliament supports extension of martial law and general mobilization for 90 days
On Oct. 29, the Verkhovna Rada approved bills to extend
martial law and general mobilization for an additional 90 days, until Feb. 7,
2025, according to MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak from the Holos faction on Telegram.
Bill No. 12151 to extend martial law was supported by 311
lawmakers, while Bill No. 12152 to extend general mobilization received backing
from 304 deputies.
This marked the 13th vote by the Rada on these issues since
Feb. 24, 2022.
Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy submitted the
corresponding bills to the Rada.
Martial law was declared in Ukraine following the onset of
Russia's full-scale invasion, which was accompanied by the announcement of
general mobilization.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
