One fatality, seven injured in recent Russian drone attack on Kherson Oblast

Russian forces killed one person and injured seven others in a Shahed suicide drone attack on the the village of Vysoke in Kherson Oblast overnight on Jan. 5, regional governor Oleksandr Prokudin reported on Jan. 5.
The UAVs hit an administrative building and a number of prefabricated structures.
The victims include a hospitalized 50-year-old man with abdominal and liver injuries, a 43-year-old man treated on-site for back and shoulder injuries. A teenager was among the five other victims, and suffered from an acute stress reaction and contusions, though the child was able to avoid further harm by taking cover in an air raid shelter.
Residential areas of the oblast’s settlements, critical infrastructure facilities in Kherson and its region, and a humanitarian aid warehouse in the Beryslav region were also hit, Prokudin said.
The Russian military regularly attacks Kherson Oblast. In the past day alone, Russian forces attacked 125 times, and fired 639 shells from mortars, artillery, Grad multiple rocket launchers, tanks, aircraft, and UAVs, according to the Ukrainian military.
A teenager in Kherson was murdered by Russian shelling on Dec. 31, while another was injured.
