One dead and six injured in Russian strike on Kherson railway station, 2nd deadly attack in Kherson today

At least one person was killed and another six were injured after invading Russian forces attacked the railway station in Kherson on the afternoon of May 3, regional governor Oleksandr Prokudin said in a Telegram post.
An ambulance was also damaged because of the strike. Fortunately, none of the medical staff was injured.
Rescue teams are working at the scene, Prokudin said.
A train conductor was injured after the Russians hit a passenger train car, said Ukraine’s national railway operator Ukrzaliznytsia.
“Boarding had not started when the shelling began, and the passengers were in a safe shelter,” the operator reported on Telegram.
“A train to Lviv with 116 passengers on board departed from Kherson with a delay of 14 minutes. Train cars damaged by shelling will be promptly replaced at the railway station in Mykolayiv.”
Prokudin added that Russian invaders had also shelled the village of Stepanivka in Kherson Oblast, resulting in the death of three energy workers who were performing repair and restoration work.
Earlier on May 3, three people were killed and another five were injured after a Russian missile struck the only operating hypermarket (Epicentr) in Kherson.
The right bank of Kherson Oblast, including the city of Kherson and other settlements, are being systematically shelled by Russian troops. Enemy shells regularly target and destroy civilians and civilian infrastructure in the region.
Ukrainian Defense Forces are attempting to push the Russian occupation army back at least 20 km from the water line in Kherson Oblast to reduce the number of attacks, said Ukrainian military’s South Operational Command spokesperson, Natalia Humeniuk, on Ukrainian national television on March 12.
The left bank of the region remains under temporary occupation.
