Norway allocates over EUR 300 million in humanitarian aid to Ukraine
Norway has provided Ukraine with NOR 4.5 billion (approximately $420 million) in humanitarian aid for Ukrainians, and to repair and maintain public infrastructure, reads a statement on the website of the Norwegian government dated May 3.
During a meeting in Helsinki on May 3, Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre informed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy about the new aid package.
“We are in close dialogue with the authorities in Ukraine to ensure that aid reaches those who are most in need,” the Norwegian leader said.
“Russia’s war of aggression is causing inconceivable suffering and wide-scale destruction every single day. Our support will help to alleviate the situation of the Ukrainian people, who have endured so much.”
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
