No casualties or damage in Russian night drone attack on Kyiv, governor says

The night Russian Shahed drones attack on Kyiv lasted 44 minutes, and resulted in no casualties or damage, the capital's governor Serhii Popko reported on Aug. 16.
Preliminary reports indicate that the Russian army launched the drones from Kursk Oblast.
"The enemy air targets reached the capital in about 2 hours,” Popko wrote.
“The air alert in the city lasted 44 minutes. Anti-aircraft defense forces and means worked in Kyiv. Operative reports indicate no destruction or casualties in the capital," Popko wrote.
Air alarms have become more frequent recently, he added, calling on residents not to "get used" to air alarm signals, but to treat them as a serious warning of danger.
