1,023 rallies in 746 cities across 69 countries back Ukraine on 2nd anniversary of Russia’s invasion

The Ukrainian World Congress documented a record number of support rallies across numerous cities and countries on the second anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the UWC website reported on Feb. 25.
Ukrainian communities and diaspora organizations held 1,023 actions in support of Ukraine on Feb. 24.
The events took place in 746 cities across 69 countries, spanning all continents, including Antarctica.
The largest number of events occurred in Germany, the United States, France, Great Britain, and Canada.
UWC President Paul Grod addressed attendees at the event in Washington, DC, speaking at one of the most significant symbols of U.S. democracy – the Lincoln Memorial.
“The Ukrainian World Congress and our allies worldwide urge the international community to provide Ukraine with the necessary resources to secure victory - including more weapons, ammunition, stronger sanctions, and the seizure of Russian assets. We must hold Russia accountable,” stated Paul Grod.
In Prague, Czech President Petr Pavel inaugurated a large-scale Ukrainian rally. Simultaneously, European Commissioner for Justice Didier Reynders participated in the demonstration in Brussels.
Members of the 28th Ukrainian Antarctic expedition recorded a video message from Antarctica, as reported by the UWC.
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Belgian Prime Minister and current EU Council President Alexander de Kroo, along with EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, traveled to Kyiv on the same train on Feb. 24, the second anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion.
Together with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, they arrived at Hostomel Airport, the site where Russia attempted to capture the airfield in its bid to conquer Kyiv on Feb. 24, 2022.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
