Russia’s missile terror won’t break Ukraine, German envoy says
Russia’s strategy to exhaust Ukraine through relentless missile and drone strikes will fail, as Ukraine remains strong with Germany’s firm support, German Ambassador to Ukraine Martin Jaeger said on X on May 26.
"Russia's plan is to exhaust Ukraine and force it to surrender. This plan will not work. Ukraine is strong. Germany is firmly on their side," he stated.
Overnight into May 26, Russia attacked Ukraine with a record number of drones, with air defense shooting down all nine missiles and neutralizing 288 of 355 UAVs.
On May 25, Russian forces launched 298 drones and 69 missiles, with Ukrainian air defenses downing 45 missiles and 266 UAVs.
Overnight into May 26, air raid alerts sounded nationwide due to further drone and missile threats.
The attacks damaged private homes in the Odesa district, households and businesses in Khmelnytskyi Oblast, and caused debris to fall in Kyiv’s Dniprovskyi district, with additional impacts in Kyiv Oblast, Kharkiv, and other regions.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
