Ukraine sentences Kremlin puppet Pasichnyk to 12 years in absentia

Leonid Pasichnyk, the Russian puppet leader of the so-called "Luhansk People’s Republic" (LPR), was sentenced in absentia to 12 years in prison and confiscation of all his property, Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) reported on Telegram on July 2.
He was also banned from holding positions with organizational, administrative, and economic functions in government agencies, institutions, enterprises, and organizations, regardless of ownership, for 13 years.
The investigation found that Pasichnyk signed an "agreement on friendship, cooperation, and mutual assistance" between the LPR and Moscow, which the Kremlin used as a formal pretext for its full-scale aggression against Ukraine on Feb. 24, 2022.
He also organized a sham referendum on “joining” Russia in the occupied territories of Luhansk Oblast, after which he signed “a legally null and void agreement on joining Russia" with Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin.
Pasichnyk was found guilty of collaboration, and violation of the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine by prior conspiracy of a group of persons. The sentence will begin from the date of his actual arrest.
