Liberov photographers show Christmas as celebrated by Ukrainian defenders on Donetsk frontline
Constantin Liberov, a Ukrainian photographer, has published a series of images taken at the front in Donetsk Oblast during Christmas on Dec. 25.
"This is a former checkpoint on the road to Bakhmut. Now almost no one uses this road, because it is constantly under attack by our enemies’ FPV-drones. I think you see from the photo what this place is — everything is ruined, the trees along the road are flattened. There is nothing left of the checkpoint itself. However, somebody managed to put here... a Christmas tree. Elegant, beautiful, just in the center of the devastated checkpoint. And in my opinion, the main Christmas tree of the country is not in Kyiv. The main Christmas tree of the country is here."
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
